Doug Heath is the official longest standing member of Paul Revere & The Raiders.

That’s over 40 years with the same band & he still only looks 30 something! He joined The Raiders in 1973 and brought with him his musical experience from playing with people like Leon Russell, & (‘Angel of the morning’ hit maker) Merilee Rush, and was personally ‘kidnapped’ to play on Mike Love of The Beach Boys solo album.

In the early 1970’s, Doug was also a sought after studio guitar player and touring with top Seattle bands, such as Columbia records “The City Zu” band and (Jerden records) Brady-Hiatt & The Sonic’s and Paul Revere was also looking to replace Freddie Weller who was starting his own career with “Games People Play” hit. When Paul Revere called his Seattle friend Merille Rush looking for a guitar player, she reluctantly gave Paul his number and said ” But don’t steal my favorite guitar player from me!” & Paul just laughed when he offered a deal Doug could not refuse!

Doug has consistent fun attitude on & off stage that makes him a pleasure to work with and he always tears up the stage with his award winning guitar playing every night! His talented fingers can play any style of music and have won him such awards as: Reno’s best guitar player & musician, Branson’s best band, & numerous recordings, TV, radio spots. He has also been commissioned to be featured with other stars like Righteous Bro’s. Bill Medley, Billy Raye Cyrus, Nancy Sinatra, The Diamonds – David Somerville and many more……. the list goes on and on.

Doug was in the right place at the right time, and now looks back on a successful 37 years touring the world & having a blast playing lead guitar for Paul Revere & The Raiders.
